The picture is good. It works well. I can hook it up to different things that are analog. But the reason I gave it only 3 stars, is because Sony made this item CHEAP! they only put ONE cheesy HDMI on the back of this player. it needs at least 2 minimum. AND the optical cable is not to be found! this unit requires a different kind of optical cable, NOT a regular (Toslink) one. And Sony doesn't sell it on their website. In fact, they don't have jack crap on their website as far as parts are concerned. I've looked on the internet and called around everywhere. I called Sony and the one lady gave me the WRONG part number after I looked it up on the web and saw it for myself. that was obvious! so i don't know where she got her information from. So I called Sony BACK SEVERAL MORE TIMES within an hour and a half and then I was referred to 3 different numbers where they get parts from, and haven't heard from the one I called the other day since....even though they vowed to email me and call me back. tried to call the Best Buy parts number but they don't open til later in the day Central Time (bankers Hours)...and i have yet to call the other number cos it's on the West Coast and I'm on the East coast and gotta work. i feel it's pretty useless really.
